In June of 2012, the Beverly Education Foundation, Inc. presented a check for $38,000.00 to the Beverly Public Schools in support of the Beverly High School’s 1 to 1 Learning Initiative. This exciting
initiative which began in the fall of 2011 seeks to provide every student with a laptop computer in the new wireless
classrooms at Beverly High School. All school systems are challenged to find the best ways to harness digital
technology and bridge the digital divide. The Beverly Education Foundation’s mission in support of the 1 to 1 Laptop Initiative is to support
21st Century teaching and learning, to create a seamless learning experience for all Beverly High School students,
and to decrease or eliminate the digital divide for students who do not fall into easily defined categories of need.
